Mid East Plus Release on DVD

Thanks to the considerable efforts of the Mid East Plus Team led by Mick Clarke, the Mid East Plus Route, Stock and Activities DVD for Microsoft Train Simulator will launch on Tuesday 4th February 2014. Look out for it on CD Ordering from Tuesday.
The Mid East Plus route is huge and the stock pack included is vast and wide ranging.
Mid East Plus is provided as a MiniRoute with Mike Simpsons MiniLoader and attempting to knife and fork this route with stock in to your normal MSTS structure is strongly advised against and NOT supported. For those using 3rd party tools to access the route and stock, RouteRiter can manipulate the Registry entries to point to your main MSTS installation or to any miniroute you have installed.
As such there are two caveats to consider before purchasing the DVD.
1. The minimun spec machine that this route will run on.
This is the spec of the machine the final test and build was performed on.
32 Bit Operating System Windows Vista (32 bit XP or 32 bit Win 7 would be no different) Intel Duo Core processor running at 2GHz (Remember MSTS only ever uses ONE core).
3Gbytes of RAM (Maximum usable by 32 bit OS) NVidia Graphics 9200 with 1Gbyte of RAM (AMD Graphics will likely work but not tested) Intel integrated graphics will NOT work.
With this configuration the average framerate over most of the route is 18 to 32.
In heavily built up areas that will drop below 5 at times.
As a simple example, sitting at Kings Cross waiting to depart, the framerate hovers between 7 and 12 depending on other stock movements.
When new tiles or trains are loaded there can be up to 5 seconds pause before carrying on.
2. The stock pack included with this route has been modified to single pipe air brakes and automatic couplings. This has reduced the need to provide multiple versions of some of the stock, thus reducing the size of the stock pack.
Mid East Plus has been long in the pipeline and the team are to be congratulated on a superb product.
