Description : This repaint, with the kind permission of Kim Durose, represents one of the Britannias allocated to the Western Region ( in this case 86C Cardiff Canton) and has the smoke deflectors modified by fitting 6 rectangular hand-holds. This occurred after 70026 Polar Star was derailed in 1955. 70025 Western Star was mainly used on the Paddington - South Wales expresses, and in company with all WR Britannias, was later transferred to the LM Region.
