Description : This scenario was inspired by the famous incident close to Stainmore Summit that was captured in the 1955 film by British Transport Films (BTF). Just as in the film, Standard 2MT loco 78018 and its freight train are stuck and frozen close to Bleath Gill cutting. Your task, starting at Kirkby Stephen East and using a BR Standard 4MT and an LMS Ivatt 4MT, is to collect two brake vans with a gang of permanent way men assigned to help free the stuck train; couple up to Kirkby Stephen's snow plough; and then run up to Bleath Gill. There, you'll drop off the PW gang at Bleath Gill signalbox before passing the frozen train to reach Stainmore summit, where you'll await further instructions.
