Description : Casterbridge to Stourhead Third Rail (V1.0) Much time has passed and the route has been electrified in the usual southern railway manner. I wanted to see if I could make things a bit more busy trafficwise. As before, the route provides plenty of opportunity for interesting scenarios and lots of variations for main line running. There is a short additional single track branch loop to simplify turning goods trains away from Casterbridge otherwise it's the same route as before. Hopefully users will find lots of options to create a variety of scenarios through the industrial and rural scenery. As before the route includes a mini version of Waterloo, flying/burrowing junctions, 3 other termini, 3 goods yards, an Oil Terminal and a busy Airport. There's a fair opportunty for trains to get some speed up. Depending on the route taken from end to end, a journey of up to 20 miles can be achieved. I hope users will enjoy the variety of running it allows.
