Description : Glencoe V1.5 Issued December 15. I am please to have updated my Glencoe route from a Beta to final release. The update includes the following: • Added a further 4 miles from N Ballachuillish to Ballachuillish • Added another 8 miles across Rannoch Moor including halt and passing loop. • Total route length now 24miles. • Added some standard scenarios and timetable scenarios • Updated freedrive to include new stations and sidings. • Corrected disappearing people on platform, this was due to me trying to use the loft height tool to make the platform ramps. • Added tunnel occlusions. • Removed all manual junctions at kinghouse station. • Changed yard layout at Kingshouse Station • Changed some of the signalling which was incorrect. • Rebuilt some of the track after a crash corrupted the trackfile losing about 2 months of work! Note you do not need to have installed V1.0 previously, this is a new build of the route just install over the beta if you already have it. Please extract the zip file and refer to the readme doc and route guide in the manuals directory for more info The route is ‘factional’ in that it is was proposed, but never gained political assent as follows: The Glasgow and North Western Railway (G&NWR) proposed a new line between Glasgow and Inverness broadly following the route of the West Highland Line but passing through Glencoe and then up the Great Glen. The G&NWR bill was presented in Parliament in November 1882 a but was blocked by the rival The Highland Railway. This route is a 'what if' 24miles of the route alognside Loch Leven, through Glencoe (with sharp curviture and a steep gradient of 1:40 to the summit at 1000ft) and over Rannoch Moor has been modelled . This is one of the best freeware routes available and hosted on the Railsim-DE website. SAD makes some amazing assets which I have used extensively in the route. Searching on the web suggests it may be bundled in earlier routes. Sorry I cannot help more than this. Optional Install Freedrive Locos For the Freedrive locos and most scenarios you will need to download all the rolling stock packs off the UKtrainsim website. Most are reskins of the Classic European Loco and Asset Pack.
