Description : 8:10 Dumfries to Kirkcudbright 76073 was one of two Standard 4 2-6-0 assigned to the Dumfries shed. I googled the number and came across this picture. http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4072/4553986907_5f6f8dd2cd_z.jpg which forms the inspiration for this scenario. The title of the picture is the same as this scenario. Not having access to a WTT for the period this is my "artistic" take on that working. Whilst the timings of the run are based on the timetable everything else has been guestimated with a bit of licence in order to produce a pleasant run. The AI should be a reasonable representation of what could been seen running at the time, and the excellent DT version of the loco certainly adds to the pathos. I hope you enjoy this, its an hour or so to run, but its a nice journey with good lighting and pays homage I hope to both this excellent route and loco. Drivers notes. This should be a relaxing run down to Kirkcudbright. There is plenty of room in the schedule given the power of the locomotive, however there are some long climbs and forethought will result in the engine being able to tackle them in its capable stride. Depending on your play style you have the option to run at the speed limits which will result in you arriving at your stops early, or you can take it more sedately around 50mph seems to work. Note there will be some traffic ahead of you so if you run too fast you will encounter caution signals.
