Description : The purpose of creating them was to provide an alternative to the use of the Scotsman cab on narrow gauge engines. The cab is not a model of any specific prototype but could well have been produced by any UK manufacturer (especially one from Leeds). The controls are confined to those normally found on narrow gauge engines from the pre-presrvation era - no continuous brakes, no steam heat, only one pressure gauge, and no speedometer. 3 different settings have been provided for the basic controls, based loosely on the Penryhn large quarry engines (gencabhun) the Darjeeling Himalayan class A - long extinct (gencabdhr) the Welshpool & Llanfair Joan (gencabjoan). This is rather larger than the other 2, but the cab structure has been made proportionately smaller to accomodate this. The files will install to a folder .....trainsetGenericNGcabsmedium. (If all goes well there may be small and large to follow), and cvf files have been provided which may be copied into the cabview folder of the loco required. (No other entry is required in that folder as the CVF file points to the generic folder) As narrow gauge modellers produce models for both truescale (and there are now some routes available, such as the Puffing Billy) and x2 (Festiniog Railway and Talyllyn), 2 versions of each are present, the default being truescale and the others having x2 on the end.
