Description : The Derby Lightweights were the first succesful series of DMUs built by British Rail. First constructed in 1955, they saw serice in most parts of the country before thier withdrawral in 1964. Several variants were built, including single car and battery versions. A number of vehicles survivied into preservation, and two live on as departmemtal vehicles.
