This route covers a section of New Zealands North Island Main Trunk line from Taumarunui to Ohakune and features the World famed Raurimu Spiral. From Raurimu station, there is an abrupt rise in altitude of 212 metres. To overcome this rise,a series of curves cuttings,tunnels and embankments on a 1 in 50 gradient to form the famed Raurimu Spiral. by Trevor Burt, trev2@xtra.co.nz

Q. What do I need to make it work?
A. Before you start, make sure that all six default routes are installed, if they are not then this route will not install successfully. The six default routes are contained in folders called: EUROPE1, EUROPE2, USA1, USA2, JAPAN1 and JAPAN2.

The route comes packaged with the route itself, a comprehensive train set and consists. Let's do them in that order.
