Route Building Competition
| Thursday 17 December 2009 | By NeutronIC [Matthew Peddlesden] |
Abstract:
RESULTS ARE IN!
|
|
Wow, what an amazing set of entries! We're just testing the packages ready for upload in the next day now and you'll be able to see for yourself!
It was tough, very tough, but the judges have arrived at a top three; which is as follows:
Position 3: Edenderry by Brendan Moran.
Position 2: Churchwood and Midland by James Hunt.
Position 1: Keith Ross for Port Road.
The winners are being notified at the moment.
I'd like to give a huge thanks to everyone involved in this amazing challenge:
All the contributors - eight routes were submitted for judging and the general standard was - if I'm honest - FAR higher than I was expecting for a one week challenge.
RS.com for their prize contribution and for participating in the judging.
JustTrains for their prize contribution.
My Dad for doing the majority of the judging from the UKTrainSim perspective.
Geoff Potter for organising and managing the whole thing, judging and a few outstanding tutorials and general guidance to get everyone going.
Everyone who gave moral support to those building the routes!
We intend to run this and other similar challenges again in future, so keep your eyes open and get ready to say "I'm going to join in this time!".
Look forward to the routes arriving in the next day or two!
Matt.
