Description : Drive a mid morning Saturday service between Liverpool and Hull in 1951 and the Woodhead line is in transition. The catenary posts for the electric overhead is in the process of being installed but the steam engine still reigns supreme. You will 'join' your cross country train from Liverpool to Hull just outside the new electric power depot being built at Reddish and drive as far as Sheffield, having changed engines at Manchester Central station. Look out for some stock still untouched by nationalisation. Being a Saturday morning, holiday and excursion trains are having to pick their way through the goods traffic. As are you. Also, there are a number of special trains being run for the football in Sheffield. In order to get the right look, don't forget to turn wires off in your options.
