Description : BR Class 57xx Pannier No.7714. The GWR had a lot of Pannier Tanks, and the 57xx class was one of the most numerous. They where designed by C B Collet to be built in large numbers to replace many existing but outdated designs.They could be found on most GWR branches on both passenger and freight workings. 863 of them where built between 1929 and 1950...many by sub contractors rather than at Swindon. The number ranges were 3600-3699,3700-3799,4600-4699,5700-5799,6700-6779,7700-7799,8700-8799,9600-9682, & 9700-9799. In BR usage the 57xx carried on right up to the end of Steam.Enjoy the model.
