| Description | : | The RCH gunpowder van was introduced in 1923 to replace an earlier version based on the GWR iron mink.
THey were built in small numbers by the LMS, LNER and GWR until 1939 when further wagons were built for wartime use.
BR continued building and in 1958 built 40 wagons with an improved underframe.
They lasted until the mid 70s.
